Davis Stuart is delighted to announce that we have been awarded $5,000.00 in tax credits through the Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP).  NIP was created in 1996 to increase charitable giving of organizations like Davis Stuart to serve low-income persons in highly distressed neighborhoods. Businesses and individuals who contribute a minimum of $500.00 to Davis Stuart are eligible to receive up to 50 percent of the contributed amount in the form of state tax credits. You, the investor, may use the credits to reduce liability for the following West Virginia taxes: Corporate Net Income Tax, Business Franchise Tax, and Personal Income Tax. These credits go fast, make an investment TODAY!

We encourage investors to specify which program(s) they wish to support.

  • Day-to-day operations -Support our general budget! Unlike other non-profits, that only designate a portion of your donation to their cause, 100% of your investment goes right back to improving the lives of the teens and families in our care.

  • Community Based Program -Davis Stuart operates four community based homes in Beckley, Bluefield, Maxwelton, and Princeton. Beckley, Bluefield, and Princeton serve boys and Maxwelton serves girls.

  • Spiritual Life Program -Christ centered spiritual growth opportunities for the youth throughout the year.

  • Equine Assisted Therapy Program -Enables teens to explore and evaluate their behavior, learn about choices and consequences, and develop skills for more successful relationship building.

  • Employment Preparation Program -Residents are taught responsibility and the importance of developing their skills, maintaining honesty, following directives, and money management. Residents are paid an hourly wage by Davis Stuart for the work performed.

  • Special Activities (include but not limited to) -African drumming, archery, recreation, 'family' fun nights, vacations, etc.

  • Building Repairs -Having been established in 1919, most of the buildings were constructed prior to 1950. If you would like to help in this way, indicate on your donation by writing 'Building Repair'.
